Creating a Unified Shopping Experience for Albertsons and Its Brands
Albertsons, a leading supermarket conglomerate with brands like Safeway, Vons, Acme, and Shaws, aimed to develop a unified app that could be customized for each brand. The goal was to provide a seamless user experience while allowing for brand-specific stylistic adjustments.
While at YML, I contributed to the design of the Albertsons app, ensuring it could be easily tailored for various brands through simple stylistic changes like color schemes. We focused on creating a cohesive design system that maintained a consistent user experience across all brands. I also helped conceptualize the app’s in-store shopping features, enhancing user interaction and convenience. Additionally, I was involved in designing the reward system to engage users and foster brand loyalty.
The Albertsons app successfully delivered a versatile solution, adaptable across multiple brands. The cohesive design system allowed for brand-specific customizations without compromising the user experience. Enhanced in-store features improved user interaction, making shopping more convenient and engaging. The integrated reward system increased user engagement and loyalty, reinforcing Albertsons’ position as a leading retailer. This project showcased my ability to design scalable, user-centric solutions that meet diverse business needs.
